Elizabeth is lucky enough to call Seriously Dance her own & works continuously to provide a supportive & welcoming place for students to experience the arts. She is dedicated to fostering a love of dance while making sure all students are recognised for their individual talent.

CO-DIRECTOR

Having over two decades of experience in management, Tyson heads up the the Seriously Dance management team & works tirelessly to ensure the studio runs without a hitch. Tyson is a welcoming & friendly face at reception & often the first of our team that you will speak with or meet here at Seriously Dance. 

ACROBATICS

Katherine believes in giving students of all ages, backgrounds & abilities the opportunity to be involved in the dance community. Starting at a young age Miss Kat is qualified in all styles of dance & holds a double degree in Education & Fine Arts. Miss Kat has a particular love for Hip Hop & Acrobatics. Seriously Dance has had the pleasure of having Miss Kat in our dance family since 2015.

RAD CLASSICAL BALLET

Sidney completed her dance studies at QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree & is a registered RAD teacher. She has been classically trained & loves to share her passion for dance in teaching. Sidney completed a Certificate IV in Dance with Raw Dance Company & she is always looking for chances to learn new skills to share with her students. She is a patient & caring teacher who wants to challenge each dancer and help students develop their love for dance. Sidney has been with Seriously Dance since 2019.

JAZZ / ACROBATICS / PERFORMANCE TEAM

Abbie is a Queensland based teacher & choreographer with over 10 years of dance training in all styles of dancing. Abbie has a special interest in choreography & commercial dance as well as younger student development. Abbie is a encouraging & inspiring teacher. Her Cert IV in Dance Teaching & Management allows Abbie to support her student, focus on Safe Dance Practices & pass her knowledge onto the next generation of dancers. Abbie joined the Seriously Dance team in 2023.

BALLET / LYRICAL / PERFORMANCE TEAM

Lillian is an all round dancer & teacher with a strong foundation in Classical Ballet & a love for Contemporary & Lyrical styles. She has completed her Diploma in Elite Performance in 2023 and is now studying an Advanced Diploma at Queensland College of Dance in 2024. A kind, considerate & caring teacher, Lillian has been with the the Seriously Dance team since 2023.

TINY TEAM / ACROBATICS / JAZZ

Cate is a familiar face at Seriously Dance & has spent the last 11 years of her 14 years training dancing with us as a student. Currently studying a Bachelor of Teaching, Cate wishes to pass her love for dance, in particular Jazz & Contemporary, onto the next generation of SDA students. Cate has completed her Ballet, Jazz & Acrobatics Examinations & has been apart of the SDA faculty since 2023.

Olivia is a vibrant, friendly & driven dance & teacher. She commenced her dance training with Seriously Dance 11 years ago studying all styles of dance & continues as both a student & teacher in 2024. Olivia has been a part of eisteddfod teams, Creative Generations & most recently performed in the Southbank Christmas Concert in 2023 giving her unique industry insight to pass onto her students. 

CONTEMPORARY / JAZZ

Taryn is originally from Armidale, NSW & started dancing at a young age, exploring styles like jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, musical theatre, song & dance, & ballet. She completed ADV ballet exams up to major 2 & achieved one of the highest scores in her Year 12 dance exam. With a decade of experience working with youth in dance, soccer, and academics, Taryn is now pursuing her passion for teaching. Currently studying at UQ, she aims to complete a master's in teaching while finishing an undergraduate degree in language and linguistics. Taryn is excited to share her love for dance and inspire young minds at Seriously Dance in 2024 & beyond.
